- Solved Real Cases
In 1995, Mrs. Vijaya and her husband, Mr. Sunil, approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance regarding a complicated property dispute. Vijaya’s late father owned a valuable parcel of land in the city and had entered into negotiations with a group of businessmen. The proposed arrangement involved a joint venture in which the developers would construct a building on the land and share the profits with the owner. Unfortunately, before the agreement could be formally executed, Vijaya’s father passed away unexpectedly.
Following his demise, the businessmen proceeded with construction activities despite objections from the legal heirs. Concerned about the possibility of losing their rightful claim over the property, Vijaya and Sunil sought Dr. Rajgopal’s advice regarding the future of the case and possible solutions.
During the initial consultation, photographs of the individuals connected with the matter were requested for MindScope analysis. Vijaya appeared unusually reluctant to provide her photograph and asked several questions regarding what information could be revealed through such an analysis. Her hesitation suggested underlying anxiety. The following day, she returned with the required photographs.
During a private discussion, Vijaya revealed that her husband harbored suspicions about her character and requested that no such issues be discussed in his presence. With further counseling, she admitted that she had become emotionally involved with a married neighbor who had two children. Deeply troubled by the situation, she expressed guilt toward her husband and distress over her inability to end the relationship. She sought guidance to overcome the emotional turmoil and restore stability in her family life.
Later that evening, Sunil met Dr. Rajgopal to discuss the property litigation. Based on the analysis, he was informed that the legal battle could continue for many years but that favorable results might be achieved within approximately two years if appropriate remedial measures were undertaken. At that time, the couple chose not to proceed with the suggested remedies and returned only three years later. By then, the opportunity had passed, and no intervention was recommended. The property dispute continues in court to this day.
As time went on, Sunil’s suspicions regarding his wife’s relationship intensified. He later approached Dr. Rajgopal carrying a photograph of the man he believed to be involved with Vijaya. Having invested substantial assets in his wife’s name, Sunil was emotionally distressed and requested a powerful remedy to eliminate the perceived threat. Dr. Rajgopal firmly rejected any suggestion of harming another individual, emphasizing that such actions would be morally and spiritually unacceptable.
Instead, he agreed to examine the photograph and determine the true nature of the situation. Sunil was asked to return after three days. During this period, Vijaya was privately invited for counseling without her husband’s knowledge. She was informed that her husband’s suspicions were increasing and was advised to act wisely to prevent further damage to her family relationships.
When the photographs of Sunil and the suspected individual were analyzed, certain noteworthy observations emerged. The analysis suggested that the other man would eventually move far away and that the relationship with Vijaya would naturally come to an end. It also indicated a significant contrast in the longevity patterns observed in the two individuals.
When Sunil returned, Dr. Rajgopal reassured him that there appeared to be no substantial basis for his suspicions and encouraged him to focus on rebuilding trust and maintaining harmony within his family. This guidance was given with the welfare of the entire household in mind, including their two young children and extended family members.
Over time, the situation gradually resolved itself. The suspected individual relocated from Bangalore to Jammu, and the relationship came to an end. Both Sunil and Vijaya later met Dr. Rajgopal to express their gratitude. Sunil acknowledged that the guidance had prevented him from taking actions he might have regretted. Vijaya, on the other hand, appreciated the timely counseling that helped her regain her husband’s confidence and restore peace within the family.
In the year 2000, tragedy struck when Sunil lost his life in a severe accident while undertaking a pilgrimage. Left behind were Vijaya and their two children. Later, Vijaya questioned Dr. Rajgopal about whether he had foreseen her husband’s limited lifespan. Dr. Rajgopal chose not to disclose the deeper background of the earlier events and remained silent on the matter.
Regardless of the circumstances, the MindScope analysis had accurately reflected the developments that unfolded over the years, leaving behind a case that remains memorable for its unusual combination of legal conflict, personal challenges, and unexpected outcomes.
Residential Site Allotment Inquiry
Mr. Devaraju was introduced to Dr. N. Rajgopal through a mutual acquaintance who was an astrologer. Over the years, he consulted Dr. Rajgopal on several personal and professional matters and was satisfied with the guidance he received.
In early 2004, Mr. Devaraju approached Dr. Rajgopal regarding a property-related concern. He had paid a substantial amount to an official with the expectation of being allotted two or three residential sites. Although assurances had been given that the allotment would be completed within a few weeks, there had been little progress. Seeking clarity about the outcome, he requested an analysis of the situation.
After reviewing the matter through the MindScope process, Dr. Rajgopal advised that the likelihood of receiving all three residential sites was extremely low. He further indicated that even the possibility of obtaining a single site appeared uncertain and was unlikely to materialize in the near future.
Disappointed with this assessment, Mr. Devaraju remained optimistic and believed that his personal contacts and influence could accelerate the process. Confident that the allotment would eventually be secured, he chose to continue pursuing the matter through his own efforts.
However, as time passed, the expected allotment did not take place. Even after two years, there was no significant progress, and by June 2006, the residential sites had still not been allotted.
This case is often cited as an example of how MindScope analysis provided a realistic assessment of the situation despite expectations and assurances suggesting otherwise.
An Unexpected Turn of Events
Mr. Rama Reddy, a bank manager, approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance on several personal and professional matters. As part of the consultation process, he provided his photograph and date of birth but offered very little information about his background. Instead, he was interested in learning about potential future opportunities, including career prospects, business ventures, and family life.
Although Dr. Rajgopal generally focused on providing solutions rather than predictions, he agreed to review the case through the MindScope process. Based on the analysis, he suggested that if Mr. Rama Reddy ever chose to leave his banking profession, he might find success in areas related to social service, healthcare, or vehicle financing.
During the consultation, certain concerns emerged that prompted Dr. Rajgopal to inquire about aspects of Mr. Rama Reddy’s personal life. The questions appeared to make him uncomfortable, and he avoided providing direct answers. As discussions continued over subsequent visits, he eventually acknowledged some personal matters that he had initially been reluctant to disclose.
At a later stage of the analysis, a more serious concern was identified regarding the well-being and longevity of the senior-most male member of his family. When asked about his family structure, Mr. Rama Reddy explained that although he was currently the eldest active male member, he had an elder brother who had been missing for many years. Based on the findings, he was advised to undertake certain remedial measures, which he chose to follow.
Several months later, Mr. Rama Reddy returned for a follow-up meeting. Physically he appeared healthy, but he seemed deeply thoughtful about a recent family development. He shared that his elder brother, who had been absent for many years, had unexpectedly returned home. Unfortunately, not long afterward, his brother lost his life in an accident.
The sequence of events left Mr. Rama Reddy reflecting on the earlier guidance he had received and wondering about the mysterious circumstances surrounding the outcome. While the reasons behind such events remain beyond human certainty, the experience left a lasting impression on him.
In the years that followed, Mr. Rama Reddy made a significant career change. Drawing upon qualifications he had acquired during his professional life, he resigned from his position as a bank manager and established a Bio-Chemic Clinic. He successfully transitioned into a new field and pursued a path that aligned with the direction suggested during his earlier consultation.
This case remains a memorable example of how unexpected developments can influence the course of an individual’s life and decisions.
Success in the CET Entrance Examination
A couple once approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance regarding their son’s academic future. They had learned about him through friends and were particularly concerned about their son’s prospects in the Common Entrance Test (CET), the results of which had already been announced. Their primary question was whether their son would secure admission to the professional course he had long aspired to pursue.
The student’s father was a horticulture scientist working with the Government of Karnataka. Like many parents, they were anxious about their son’s future and wanted clarity regarding his chances of obtaining admission to his preferred course.
After reviewing the case through the MindScope process, Dr. Rajgopal expressed confidence that the outcome would ultimately be favorable and that the student would secure admission to the desired program.
The boy’s mother found this difficult to believe. She felt that her son’s academic performance was not strong enough to guarantee admission and humorously remarked that he seemed more interested in his appearance than in serious studies. Based on the marks he had obtained, she was convinced that admission would be difficult.
At the time of the consultation, Dr. Rajgopal was not aware of the student’s actual CET ranking or detailed examination results. Nevertheless, his assessment remained positive.
Approximately two months later, the parents returned with flowers and sweets to share their happiness. Their son had successfully secured admission to the course he had been hoping to join. The family explained that changes in educational policy had significantly increased the number of available seats, creating additional opportunities for deserving students.
The successful outcome brought great relief and joy to the family and remains one of the many memorable cases where a positive result emerged despite initial doubts and uncertainties.
Defective Residential Flat!
Mr. Subramanyam was Dr. N Rajgopal relative who used to consult him on any important issues, before he took any concrete decision. He was the Private Secretary to then Governor of Karnataka and had great faith in Dr. N Rajgopal’s MindScope revelations. He sold his house in Koramangala and moved into an old house on lease wherein a superstar of Kannada movies stayed earlier. From there he moved into a residential flat which he purchased after disposing off his house. Only when he came to invite for the house warming functions Dr. N Rajgopal came to know of the purchase of the flat. At the venue Dr. N Rajgopal was alerted that the house seemed to portend something for the head of the family. The family members were alerted but in vain. Almost exactly a month later Subramanyam, while on a casual visit to see his aged mother in the vicinity, was hit by an auto rickshaw and was admitted to a nearby hospital in a critical state. On getting the information of his accident and reaching the hospital Dr. N Rajgopal said that he would never be operated upon. Dr. N Rajgopal also indicated to his wife that Mr. Subramanyam chances of returning home is very bleak. What happened? The man was pronounced dead and never returned to that residential flat.
A Miscommunicated Emergency
On one occasion, Dr. N. Rajgopal was visiting a company to conduct a management training program. While he was entering the premises, an employee named Mr. Diwakar rushed to the security office after receiving alarming news that his mother had been admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
Naturally distressed, Mr. Diwakar began discussing the situation with colleagues gathered near the security gate while arranging transportation to leave immediately. Dr. Rajgopal happened to be present during the conversation and observed the concern and anxiety surrounding the unexpected news.
At that moment, Dr. Rajgopal felt strongly that there was no immediate danger to Mr. Diwakar’s mother. Based on this impression, he reassured Mr. Diwakar that she appeared to be safe and suggested that he first verify the information before rushing to conclusions.
The following day, Mr. Diwakar returned and shared an unexpected development. After making inquiries, he discovered that his mother was perfectly healthy and had never been admitted to any hospital. It was later revealed that another employee’s mother, who happened to be associated with a different individual bearing the same name, had actually been hospitalized.
The message had been incorrectly communicated, resulting in unnecessary panic and confusion. What initially appeared to be a family emergency turned out to be a simple case of mistaken identity and misreported information.
This incident remains a memorable example of how assumptions and incomplete information can sometimes create unnecessary anxiety, highlighting the importance of verifying facts before reacting to distressing news.
The Importance of Financial Protection
Over the years, Dr. N. Rajgopal has often emphasized the importance of financial planning and security, particularly for individuals with significant family responsibilities. In certain cases, after reviewing a person’s circumstances through the MindScope process, he advised them to consider obtaining adequate life insurance coverage as a precautionary measure.
These recommendations were made not as predictions, but as practical steps to help families remain financially protected in the event of unforeseen circumstances. In several such instances, the individuals concerned later passed away due to various reasons, while one individual continued to live a healthy life.
For the families affected by these losses, the life insurance policies proved to be a valuable source of financial support during a difficult period. The benefits received helped them manage immediate expenses, maintain financial stability, and cope with the challenges that followed the loss of a primary earning member.
This experience reinforced the importance of timely financial planning and responsible risk management. Regardless of age or current health conditions, adequate insurance coverage can serve as an essential safeguard, providing peace of mind and protecting loved ones from financial hardship during unexpected situations.
The case highlights a broader lesson: practical preventive measures, taken at the right time, can make a significant difference in securing the future well-being of one’s family.
An Unfulfilled Appointment
A respected astrologer, who was also employed at a multinational corporation, shared a long-standing friendship with Dr. N. Rajgopal. The two often engaged in discussions on astrology, spirituality, and various life-related subjects.
Having heard about the MindScope methodology and its unique approach, the astrologer became interested in obtaining an analysis for himself. He sent his photograph through a mutual acquaintance and contacted Dr. Rajgopal to request guidance regarding certain personal matters.
An appointment was initially scheduled for a Saturday evening. However, the astrologer expressed a preference to meet on Sunday instead. Due to prior commitments, Dr. Rajgopal informed him that Sunday would not be possible and encouraged him to keep the Saturday appointment, suggesting that he stop by on his way home after attending a sports event.
Unfortunately, circumstances unfolded differently. Rather than attending the scheduled meeting, the astrologer returned home and later left to meet a client. Shortly after setting out, he was involved in a serious road accident.
The following morning, news of the accident reached mutual friends and associates. The individual who had delivered the photograph contacted Dr. Rajgopal from out of town and requested that he review the situation and offer any possible insight regarding the astrologer’s condition.
After conducting a MindScope analysis, Dr. Rajgopal formed a deeply concerning assessment regarding the severity of the situation. He conveyed his observations cautiously and sensitively, mindful of the emotional circumstances surrounding the incident.
Within a few hours, the unfortunate news arrived that the astrologer had succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The incident remains a poignant reminder of life’s unpredictability and the importance of valuing every moment and opportunity. It is remembered as one of the many cases that left a lasting impression on those who were closely associated with the events.
A Challenging Journey Home from Sri Lanka
In the early 1980s, Dr. N. Rajgopal traveled to Sri Lanka as part of a group tour consisting of 28 participants. After completing their trip, the group returned to their hotel in Colombo and prepared to depart for India the following day. Little did they know that an unexpected challenge awaited them.
On the morning of their departure, the travelers discovered that most of their belongings had been stolen from the hotel luggage room. The missing items included passports, airline tickets, and other essential documents. With their scheduled flight departing at 12:30 PM and the airport located nearly 40 kilometers away, the group found themselves in a difficult situation. Filing police complaints and pursuing a detailed investigation was impractical given the limited time available.
The sudden loss created confusion and anxiety among the travelers, many of whom feared they would be stranded in a foreign country. Fortunately, Dr. Rajgopal was acquainted with a well-known jewelry merchant in Colombo. Through the assistance of this contact and local intermediaries, efforts were made to recover the missing belongings.
After several tense hours, the stolen items were successfully retrieved. However, by the time everything was recovered, it was already close to 11:00 AM, leaving very little time to reach the airport and complete the necessary travel formalities.
The situation became even more challenging because a major conference involving plantation workers was taking place at the time, resulting in unusually high demand for flights between Sri Lanka and India. Most flights were fully booked, and even attempts to obtain assistance from airline officials did not immediately produce a workable solution for the entire group.
Faced with uncertainty, Dr. Rajgopal remained optimistic and encouraged the travelers to proceed to the airport rather than abandon their journey. Despite the obstacles, he believed that a solution would emerge.
Upon arriving at the airport, an unexpected opportunity presented itself. Due to operational changes involving another airline, a flight passing through Colombo had several vacant seats available for passengers traveling to India. Through a combination of timely coordination and cooperation from airport and airline authorities, the necessary travel formalities were completed quickly.
To the relief of everyone involved, all members of the group were able to board the flight and continue their journey home. By that evening, the entire group had safely arrived in India.
The incident remains a memorable example of how determination, resourcefulness, timely assistance, and faith can help overcome even the most challenging travel situations.
A Journey from Emotional Distress to Personal Transformation
Mousami, a resident of Ramamurthy Nagar, approached Dr. N. Rajgopal during a particularly challenging period in her life. She was emotionally troubled by a relationship that had caused her considerable disappointment and distress. The circumstances had left her feeling discouraged, confused, and uncertain about her future.
Unable to comfortably discuss her situation with family members, she found herself carrying the burden alone. During this vulnerable phase, some people around her failed to provide genuine support, further complicating her emotional state and adding to her sense of isolation.
As the pressures continued to mount, Mousami experienced a significant decline in her emotional well-being. She struggled with negative thoughts and found it increasingly difficult to maintain a positive outlook on life. Realizing the need for guidance and support, she sought the assistance of Dr. Rajgopal.
A combination of counseling, emotional guidance, and personalized remedial measures was recommended to help her address the challenges she was facing. The focus was on restoring her confidence, strengthening her emotional resilience, and helping her regain control over her life.
With time, dedication, and a willingness to embrace positive change, Mousami gradually emerged from her difficult circumstances. She rebuilt her self-confidence, regained emotional stability, and developed a renewed sense of purpose and optimism.
Today, she enjoys a balanced and fulfilling life, far removed from the difficulties that once troubled her. Her story highlights the importance of timely guidance, inner strength, and consistent effort in overcoming life’s challenges and creating a more positive future.
The support provided during her journey included counseling, spiritual guidance, gemstone recommendations, mantra practices, and other personalized measures aimed at fostering emotional well-being and personal growth.
A Lesson on Ethical Financial Practices
During the mid-1990s, while Dr. N. Rajgopal was employed at a multinational company, he became acquainted with a man named Mr. Jagannath, who was well known among employees for lending money on interest. Many workers depended on him for financial assistance, but he was also known for charging high rates of interest and, at times, increasing them unexpectedly. This often placed borrowers under significant financial pressure.
Although Dr. Rajgopal never borrowed money from Mr. Jagannath, the latter held him in considerable respect and frequently interacted with him.
At that time, Dr. Rajgopal owned a well-maintained two-wheeler that Mr. Jagannath wished to purchase. Negotiations began, but the two were unable to agree on a mutually acceptable price. Dr. Rajgopal valued the vehicle at ₹23,000 based on prevailing market conditions, while Mr. Jagannath offered a lower amount.
As a gesture of intent, Mr. Jagannath left ₹20,000 with Dr. Rajgopal and requested that his offer be considered. A few days later, he returned hoping to finalize the purchase. When the proposed sale did not materialize, he demanded not only the return of the amount but also interest on the money he had voluntarily left behind.
Dr. Rajgopal firmly rejected the demand, explaining that the money had not been borrowed and therefore no question of interest arose. After discussions and mediation by a few colleagues, the matter was resolved amicably, and Mr. Jagannath accepted the return of the original amount without further dispute.
Following the incident, Dr. Rajgopal took the opportunity to speak with Mr. Jagannath about the importance of fairness and compassion in financial dealings. He advised him to adopt more balanced lending practices and to avoid placing excessive burdens on those who were already facing financial difficulties. However, the advice was not well received, and Mr. Jagannath chose to continue his existing methods.
Some time later, a tragic incident occurred. While returning home after dropping his children at school, Mr. Jagannath became the victim of a violent attack and lost his life. The shocking event deeply affected his family, friends, and colleagues and sent waves of concern throughout the organization.
The incident serves as a reminder of the value of ethical conduct, responsible financial practices, and the importance of treating others with fairness and understanding. It also highlights how life’s circumstances can change unexpectedly, reinforcing the need for wisdom, compassion, and integrity in all human interactions.
Expectations and the Uncertainty of Life
Mr. Gururaj Shetty was a close friend of Dr. N. Rajgopal and was known to be a successful businessman with substantial assets and properties. His maternal grandmother, despite being well over seventy-five years of age, was also the owner of considerable wealth accumulated over her lifetime.
On one occasion, while spending time with Dr. Rajgopal and a group of friends, Mr. Shetty received an urgent telegram informing him that his grandmother’s health had become critical. Given her advanced age and recurring health issues, he immediately began making arrangements to travel to his hometown.
Believing that the situation was grave and that he might soon inherit his grandmother’s extensive properties, Mr. Shetty appeared unusually optimistic despite the circumstances. His expectations regarding the future were evident to those around him.
Observing the situation, Dr. Rajgopal remarked that it would be best to wait and see how events unfolded rather than make assumptions about the outcome. Mr. Shetty, however, was confident in his expectations and dismissed the possibility of any different result.
A few days later, he returned to Bangalore. To his surprise, events had not unfolded as he had anticipated. His grandmother had recovered from her illness and continued to enjoy good health.
Years later, she remained alive and active well beyond what many had expected, demonstrating remarkable longevity. Life, however, took an unexpected course, and circumstances unfolded differently than anyone had imagined. The events served as a powerful reminder that the future often remains beyond human prediction and that assumptions based on expectations may not always align with reality.
This case highlights the uncertainty of life and the importance of humility when dealing with matters beyond our control. It reminds us that destiny often unfolds in ways that challenge our plans, expectations, and assumptions.
A Family’s Hope During a Medical Crisis
In November 2004, Mr. Jayaram traveled to his hometown to participate in the annual remembrance ceremony of his late father. His elder brother, who had previously served in the Indian Air Force and was stationed in Chandigarh, had recently obtained a transfer to Pondicherry in order to stay closer to their aging mother and provide her with support and companionship.
A few days after the family ceremony, an unexpected medical emergency struck. On 26th November 2004, Jayaram’s brother suffered a severe cardiac episode while at work. He was immediately rushed to the Government Hospital in Pondicherry, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit following multiple cardiac complications.
The sudden health crisis plunged the entire family into deep anxiety and distress. Their mother, already emotionally affected by the recent family remembrance event, was particularly devastated by the situation. Seeking guidance and reassurance, Mr. Jayaram contacted Dr. N. Rajgopal from Pondicherry and requested his assistance in understanding the seriousness of his brother’s condition and the prospects for recovery.
Dr. Rajgopal generally refrained from conducting MindScope analysis on certain spiritually significant days, including Full Moon and New Moon days. As the request coincided with one such occasion, he initially hesitated to undertake the analysis. However, after receiving repeated appeals from both Mr. Jayaram and his concerned mother, he decided to review the case and offer whatever guidance he could.
Following the analysis, the indications appeared encouraging. The assessment suggested that while the health setback was serious, there was no immediate indication of a life-threatening outcome. The family was advised to remain hopeful and focus on the medical care being provided rather than giving in to fear and despair.
This reassuring message brought much-needed emotional relief to the family during a difficult time. Subsequently, the patient was transferred to a specialized cardiac facility in Bangalore, where doctors performed a successful angioplasty procedure.
With proper medical treatment, rehabilitation, and family support, he made a steady recovery and was eventually able to return to a normal and active life. The incident remains a memorable example of how timely guidance, hope, and appropriate medical intervention can help families navigate periods of uncertainty and crisis.
The Discovery of an Ancient Temple
In November 1997, Mr. Dhyanesh approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance regarding persistent difficulties affecting his family. Despite living for many years in their residence in the Malleswaram area of Bangalore, the family experienced declining fortunes, recurring obstacles, and a lack of peace and harmony within the household.
As part of the consultation process, Dr. Rajgopal requested an item connected to the property so that a MindScope analysis could be undertaken. Mr. Dhyanesh provided the architectural plan of the house for examination.
Upon reviewing the plan, Dr. Rajgopal made an unusual observation. He indicated that the property appeared to be associated with land that once formed part of a temple precinct. At that time, neither the family nor the local residents were aware of any such temple in the vicinity. There was no visible evidence to support the possibility, and the area consisted primarily of residential buildings.
Nearly eleven months later, an unexpected development brought renewed attention to the earlier observation. During excavation and construction activities on an adjacent property, a stone sculpture of a sacred bull was discovered. The finding attracted significant local interest and prompted further investigation into the history of the site.
Subsequent inquiries and historical research revealed the existence of an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Nandikeshwara, also known as Dakshina Mukha Nandi Teertha, buried beneath the area. As awareness grew, local residents and devotees took steps to preserve and restore the site. Over time, the temple was revived and regained its spiritual and cultural significance within the community.
Historical accounts associated the shrine with great antiquity, and local traditions linked its origins to ancient sages and early periods of Indian spiritual history. It was further discovered that the property occupied by Mr. Dhyanesh’s residence had once been situated along the approach path leading to the temple complex, although urban development over the years had transformed the landscape and obscured its historical connections.
Today, the restored temple is recognized as an important spiritual landmark and is associated with the renowned Kadumalleswara temple region of Malleswaram. The events surrounding its rediscovery remain memorable for those who witnessed them and are often cited as an intriguing example connected with the MindScope analysis.
In the years that followed, Mr. Dhyanesh eventually sold the property and moved on, while the rediscovered temple continues to serve devotees and visitors as a place of faith, heritage, and cultural significance.
The Importance of Accurate Information
In December 1991, the parents of a young man named Kalai Selvam approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance regarding their son’s health. The 23-year-old was reportedly undergoing treatment for leukemia and had already received medical attention from various hospitals and specialists. Despite ongoing treatment and consultations with several astrologers who had expressed optimism about his recovery, his condition appeared to be deteriorating, causing great concern to the family.
Kalai Selvam had a twin brother, Panneer Selvam. The two brothers closely resembled one another and had been born within minutes of each other. While one brother was said to be healthy and actively involved in business, the other was believed to be battling a life-threatening illness.
The parents, who had traveled from Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu, sought Dr. Rajgopal’s assistance after hearing about the MindScope methodology. At the time of the consultation, they did not have a photograph of the patient, which was normally required for analysis. Observing their emotional distress, Dr. Rajgopal agreed to conduct a preliminary assessment using only a written note containing the names of the individual and his parents, while requesting that a photograph be provided later.
The findings were unexpectedly encouraging. Based on the information supplied, the analysis did not indicate any immediate threat to the young man’s life. This assessment was communicated to the parents, although the mother remained visibly anxious and unconvinced.
A few weeks later, the family informed Dr. Rajgopal that the young man had passed away. The outcome appeared to contradict both the MindScope assessment and the favorable predictions previously received from other sources.
Approximately two years later, the same family returned to consult Dr. Rajgopal regarding a marriage proposal for their surviving son. During the discussion, a photograph was presented for compatibility analysis. To his surprise, the name associated with the photograph was once again given as Kalai Selvam.
Confused by this, Dr. Rajgopal asked how the individual could be the same person who had reportedly passed away. At this point, the mother revealed a fact she had never disclosed earlier. She explained that the son who had actually suffered from the illness and later passed away was Panneer Selvam, not Kalai Selvam. Out of concern that the father was more emotionally attached to Kalai Selvam, she had chosen to identify the patient by his brother’s name during medical treatments, consultations, and other proceedings. She had never anticipated that the illness would ultimately prove fatal.
This revelation provided a completely different perspective on the earlier consultation. The original analysis had been conducted using information that did not correspond to the actual patient. As a result, the conclusions drawn were based on incorrect identification rather than the individual who was truly affected by the illness.
The case serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of accurate and complete information when seeking guidance, analysis, or professional advice. It highlights how even a small discrepancy in identity can significantly affect the interpretation of any assessment and demonstrates the vital role that truthful and precise information plays in achieving meaningful outcomes.
An Unexpected Change of Plans
In 2001, Dr. N. Rajgopal was serving as the head of the taxation division of a multinational corporation while simultaneously conducting management training programs across India. His professional commitments required extensive travel, and he regularly delivered lectures, seminars, and workshops for various organizations and institutions. During this period, he frequently collaborated with fellow management trainers and industry experts at corporate events and training programs.
On 25th January 2001, Dr. Rajgopal traveled to Mumbai to conduct a management development program at a leading hotel. Following the completion of the event, he was scheduled to travel to Ahmedabad for another workshop planned for 26th January. The program was to be jointly conducted with a fellow trainer, Mr. Pramod Kumar, with both facilitators sharing the training sessions.
While discussing the workshop arrangements, Dr. Rajgopal observed that the subject matter could comfortably be handled by either trainer independently. During the conversation, Mr. Pramod Kumar expressed his willingness to conduct the entire program on his own. Accepting the suggestion, Dr. Rajgopal delegated the remaining sessions to his colleague and returned to Bangalore on the night of 25th January.
The following day, one of the most devastating natural disasters in India’s recent history struck the state of Gujarat. The massive earthquake that occurred on 26th January 2001 caused widespread destruction, particularly in and around Ahmedabad and other affected regions. Thousands of people lost their lives, countless families were displaced, and extensive damage was caused to infrastructure and property.
In the days that followed, news emerged that Mr. Pramod Kumar had been among those affected by the disaster and had tragically lost his life during the earthquake.
The incident left a deep impression on Dr. Rajgopal and those who knew both professionals. What had initially seemed like a routine change in travel plans unexpectedly altered the course of events. The experience remains one of the many instances that reinforced his belief in paying attention to intuition, timing, and the unexpected ways in which life unfolds.
This case serves as a reminder of life’s unpredictability and the importance of valuing every moment, as circumstances can change without warning.
A Journey to Parenthood
In 1997, one of Dr. N. Rajgopal’s close relatives was admitted to a private hospital in Bangalore due to a serious medical condition. During this period, Dr. Rajgopal made frequent visits to the Intensive Care Unit to monitor the relative’s progress and offer support to the family.
Among the other patients in the ICU was an elderly gentleman whose daughter-in-law had previously received guidance from Dr. Rajgopal regarding a personal challenge. Through these interactions, Dr. Rajgopal became acquainted with the physician overseeing the ICU.
Over time, the doctor and Dr. Rajgopal engaged in conversations on various subjects, including health, well-being, and complementary approaches to addressing life’s challenges. During one such discussion, the doctor shared a deeply personal concern. Despite being married for several years and undergoing medical treatment for more than two years, she had been unable to conceive.
Dr. Rajgopal explained that, in addition to conventional medical care, there were various supportive remedial approaches that some people found beneficial in overcoming personal difficulties. The doctor expressed interest in receiving guidance but requested that any suggestions respect her personal beliefs and religious practices.
Keeping her preferences and limitations in mind, Dr. Rajgopal recommended a customized approach designed specifically for her circumstances. The suggested measures were intended to complement, not replace, the medical treatment she was already receiving.
Approximately six months later, the doctor contacted Dr. Rajgopal with joyful news—she had successfully conceived. The development brought immense happiness to her and her family after years of waiting and uncertainty.
In the years that followed, she continued her medical career and later informed Dr. Rajgopal that she had given birth to a healthy baby boy. The experience remained a memorable milestone in her life and a source of great personal fulfillment.
This case illustrates how hope, perseverance, medical care, and positive guidance can work together to help individuals navigate challenging phases of life and achieve long-cherished aspirations.
Choices, Relationships, and Unintended Consequences
During his tenure at a multinational corporation, Dr. N. Rajgopal developed a close friendship with Mr. Sesha Narayan, a senior executive serving at the Vice President level. Professionally successful and financially secure, Mr. Narayan enjoyed the respect of colleagues and had a loving family, including his parents, wife, and children. However, challenges within his married life often left him emotionally burdened. As a result, he frequently sought Dr. Rajgopal’s guidance on various personal matters, and over the years a strong friendship developed between them.
Around the same time, a young woman named Savithri worked in the company’s front office. Newly married and ambitious, she wished to continue her career, but her husband preferred that she leave her job and spend more time at home. This difference in expectations gradually became a source of tension in their marriage.
Initially, Savithri approached Dr. Rajgopal under the pretext of seeking guidance regarding a family matter. Over time, however, she opened up about the growing difficulties in her personal life. She expressed frustration over constant disagreements with her husband and admitted that the relationship was becoming increasingly strained. The emotional stress led her to contemplate separation, despite opposition from her family members, who hoped the marriage could be preserved.
During this period, Dr. Rajgopal continued to counsel her, encouraging patience, communication, and reconciliation rather than impulsive decisions. He consistently emphasized that while ending a relationship may be easy, rebuilding one after separation is often far more difficult.
As circumstances evolved, Savithri was transferred to another work location that required extensive travel. The resulting long working hours further intensified the conflict at home. Eventually, she resigned from her position and became increasingly determined to pursue a different path for her future.
During one of their discussions, Dr. Rajgopal sensed that there were additional factors influencing her decisions. Later, through separate interactions and conversations, it became evident that she had developed an emotional attachment to Mr. Sesha Narayan. The realization explained many of the choices and conflicts that had emerged over the preceding months.
Shortly before leaving the company, Savithri openly acknowledged her feelings and her hopes for a future relationship. Around the same time, Mr. Narayan also admitted that a mutual emotional connection had developed between them. Both sought guidance regarding the situation and its potential consequences.
In the months that followed, Savithri’s marriage came to an end through legal separation. However, events did not unfold as she had expected. Life took an unexpected turn when Mr. Narayan eventually moved on in a different direction and chose not to pursue the future that had once been discussed. Over time, he changed jobs and relocated to another city.
Meanwhile, Savithri focused on rebuilding her life independently. Through determination and hard work, she continued her professional career and learned to navigate the challenges that followed. The experience became a significant chapter in her life, teaching valuable lessons about relationships, expectations, and the consequences of decisions made during emotionally turbulent periods.
This case illustrates how personal choices, emotional attachments, and life circumstances can intersect in complex ways. It also highlights the importance of careful reflection before making life-altering decisions, as the future often unfolds differently from what one initially anticipates.
Overcoming Hidden Obstacles
On one occasion, a close relative of Dr. N. Rajgopal introduced a young woman named Nageena and sought guidance regarding a long-standing concern. Despite considerable efforts by her family to find a suitable match, her marriage had not materialized. As the years passed and she entered her late twenties, the situation became a source of growing anxiety for both Nageena and her family.
During the consultation, Dr. Rajgopal conducted a MindScope analysis to understand the factors contributing to the repeated delays. The findings suggested that the obstacles were not external but were closely connected to the family environment itself.
Further discussions revealed a complex family situation. Nageena was an important financial contributor to the household, and her income played a significant role in supporting the family’s needs. While everyone outwardly expressed a desire to see her married, circumstances within the family appeared to create barriers whenever suitable proposals emerged. As a result, several opportunities that could have led to marriage were either delayed or quietly set aside.
Although Nageena herself remained respectful and never spoke negatively about her family, the underlying dynamics gradually became apparent. It seemed that concerns about the family’s financial stability may have unintentionally influenced decisions regarding her future.
To help address the situation, Dr. Rajgopal recommended a personalized remedial measure and advised Nageena to maintain a positive outlook while remaining patient and focused on her goals.
Within a relatively short period, significant changes began to occur in her life. Family circumstances evolved, and she eventually moved to a separate residence, allowing her greater independence and freedom to make decisions regarding her future.
Soon afterward, a previously considered marriage proposal was revisited through the suggestion of a relative. This time, the proposal progressed positively, and Nageena agreed to move forward. The alliance was finalized, and the marriage was celebrated successfully.
As events unfolded, family members gradually accepted the new reality and participated in the wedding with goodwill and support. At the same time, her brother assumed greater responsibility for his own family and became more actively engaged in his professional commitments, improving the overall situation within the household.
Today, Nageena enjoys a happy family life with her husband and children. Her journey stands as an example of how hidden challenges can sometimes delay important life events, and how positive change, personal determination, and timely guidance can help individuals move toward a more fulfilling future.
Restoring Hope and Strengthening a Family
Mr. Dhyanesh and his wife, Jyothika, were close associates of Dr. N. Rajgopal for many years. During the course of their friendship, the couple often shared their personal concerns and challenges with him. One of the most significant issues they faced was the absence of children despite several years of marriage.
After nearly seven years together, the emotional strain arising from childlessness had begun to affect their relationship. Although the couple remained committed to one another, the situation had created underlying tensions and uncertainty about their future.
Seeking guidance, they approached Dr. Rajgopal, who carefully reviewed their circumstances. Through his assessment, he felt that the birth of a child could play an important role in bringing renewed harmony and stability to their family life. However, the couple had already faced repeated disappointments, and medical opinions had offered little encouragement regarding the possibility of conception.
In response, Dr. Rajgopal recommended a personalized course of guidance and remedial measures designed specifically for their situation. The couple followed the recommendations with sincerity and optimism.
To their great joy, a positive change occurred in the months that followed. Jyothika conceived, bringing renewed hope and happiness to the family. The development was particularly encouraging because it came after years of uncertainty and unsuccessful attempts.
The pregnancy progressed successfully, and she later delivered a healthy baby boy through a normal childbirth at a hospital in Bangalore. The arrival of their son brought immense happiness not only to the couple but also to their extended family.
Today, Dhyanesh and Jyothika continue to enjoy a fulfilling family life, and their son has grown into a bright and cherished member of the family. Their journey serves as an inspiring example of perseverance, faith, and the positive impact that hope and guidance can have during challenging periods of life.
This case highlights how emotional support, determination, and timely intervention can help individuals navigate difficult circumstances and create new possibilities for the future.
In 1998, the father of a missing man, Sukhdev Singh, approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking information about his son’s whereabouts. Sukhdev had disappeared after going to Bengaluru Airport to see off his sister, Manjeet Kaur, and never returned home. Over time, his parents and wife also sought Dr. Rajgopal’s assistance in locating him.
Using the photograph provided, Dr. Rajgopal conducted a MindScope analysis. The observations suggested that Sukhdev had fallen into harmful habits, was experiencing significant emotional and mental distress, and might be staying in or around the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The assessment further indicated that his return was unlikely unless immediate efforts were made to locate and personally counsel him. Although the analysis pointed to family-related issues as a major contributing factor to his disappearance, Dr. Rajgopal chose not to emphasize this aspect in order to avoid escalating tensions within the family.
About a month later, Sukhdev’s mother met Dr. Rajgopal again and expressed disappointment that her husband had taken no serious steps to find their son. During the discussion, she disclosed that she was her husband’s third wife and alleged that he had engaged in inappropriate relationships, including with his own daughter-in-law. According to her, these circumstances deeply affected Sukhdev, leading him first toward substance abuse and eventually causing him to leave home.
Following repeated persuasion, Sukhdev’s father agreed to accompany his wife to Amritsar in search of their son. Their efforts, however, yielded little success. At the Golden Temple complex, they found records indicating that Sukhdev had stayed there at some point and had made a small donation. Beyond this evidence, no trace of him could be found, and the couple returned to Bengaluru without locating their son.
After this unsuccessful search, Sukhdev’s father discontinued his visits to Dr. Rajgopal. In 2002, Dr. Rajgopal happened to meet Sukhdev’s mother, who informed him that the family still had no information regarding her son’s whereabouts. Later that year, Sukhdev’s wife attended counseling sessions with Dr. Rajgopal. During these sessions, she revealed that her father-in-law had repeatedly made unwanted advances toward her. She believed that when Sukhdev became aware of the situation, he left the family home out of shock, humiliation, and disappointment, never to return.
Mrs. Meena, a postgraduate and MBA student, had been married for three years but had not been able to conceive. On several occasions, symptoms that initially suggested pregnancy were later found to be nothing more than delayed menstrual cycles. Concerned about her condition, she underwent numerous gynecological examinations and followed the treatment plans prescribed by various specialists. Despite these efforts and medications, there was no significant progress.
In October 2005, accompanied by her mother, Meena consulted Dr. N. Rajgopal at his Malleswaram office. After conducting a MindScope analysis, Dr. Rajgopal recommended certain remedies and advised her to return after forty-one days if she did not observe any positive changes.
Approximately two months later, Meena revisited Dr. Rajgopal along with her mother and shared encouraging news. Medical tests had confirmed that she was pregnant. Following this development, additional remedies were suggested with the intention of supporting a healthy pregnancy and ensuring a safe childbirth.
Delighted by the outcome, Meena and her family looked forward to welcoming the child, with the expected delivery projected for the second or third week of August 2006.
During a train journey from Hyderabad to Bengaluru, Dr. N. Rajgopal happened to meet a man named Kashe, a resident of a village near Kolhapur in Maharashtra. What began as a casual conversation gradually turned into a detailed discussion about the many difficulties Kashe was facing in his life. Feeling comfortable with Dr. Rajgopal, he openly shared his personal struggles and concerns. Dr. Rajgopal listened patiently and offered guidance and emotional support.
Some time after the journey, Kashe contacted Dr. Rajgopal by telephone seeking further assistance. Among the various issues he described was an unusual experience that troubled him deeply. He reported feeling as though an unseen presence would periodically sit on his chest, causing a sensation of suffocation and intense fear. According to Kashe, this presence appeared to resemble an elderly man connected to his family lineage.
Based on a MindScope analysis conducted using Kashe’s photograph, Dr. Rajgopal formed the impression that the issue might be linked to events associated with a previous birth. The analysis suggested that, in an earlier lifetime, Kashe had witnessed a murder that took place in a public setting during his teenage years. It further indicated that, in his present life, he had been born into the family descended from the individual who had been killed. The case appeared highly unusual, and at the time there was no independent evidence available to either verify or refute these impressions.
A few days later, Kashe contacted Dr. Rajgopal again with an unexpected development. While examining old village land records related to an ongoing property dispute, he came across references to one of his ancestors. Through both historical records and discussions with village elders, he learned of an ancestor who had reportedly been murdered in a public incident approximately a century earlier. Kashe found this discovery noteworthy because it appeared to bear similarities to the details that had emerged during the MindScope analysis.
Mr. Jayaram, a student of GKVK, Bengaluru, frequently consulted Dr. N. Rajgopal for guidance regarding various personal and family challenges. One of the major concerns involved his sister, whose marriage had been delayed for several years. According to the family’s beliefs, certain unfavorable astrological factors were considered responsible for the repeated obstacles in finding a suitable match.
Eventually, she got married in the year 2000. However, shortly after the marriage, serious differences arose between the couple. Distressed by the situation, she returned to her mother’s home and expressed her desire to seek a divorce. During this period, she also discovered that she was pregnant and was considering terminating the pregnancy.
Seeking guidance, the family provided her photograph for a MindScope analysis. Based on the impressions obtained, Dr. Rajgopal conveyed that she was unlikely to proceed with either the divorce or the abortion. Instead, it was indicated that she would continue the pregnancy, give birth to the child, and eventually remain with her husband.
As events unfolded, the situation developed largely along those lines. She chose not to pursue a divorce, carried the pregnancy to term, and gave birth to the child. Over time, she continued her married life with her husband and remained with him for the rest of her life.
Throughout the process, counseling and emotional guidance were the primary forms of support provided by Dr. Rajgopal.
One of Dr. N. Rajgopal’s relatives, Mr. Sridhar, approached him seeking guidance on several personal and professional matters. Among his questions was whether he would have the opportunity to travel abroad and eventually settle in a foreign country through employment.
Based on the impressions obtained through MindScope analysis, Dr. Rajgopal indicated that foreign travel appeared possible. However, the prospects of long-term settlement overseas within the next few years did not seem favorable.
A few days later, Sridhar returned with surprising news. He had received an overseas job assignment and was preparing to leave India within a matter of days. This development prompted friends and relatives to question Dr. Rajgopal’s earlier assessment, as the situation appeared to contradict the MindScope indications. In response, Dr. Rajgopal remained calm and remarked that he merely communicated the impressions received through the process without personal bias, and that the ultimate outcome of events rested beyond human control.
Unexpectedly, Sridhar’s departure was postponed by approximately three months. Eventually, he traveled to South Africa on what was expected to be a long-term assignment. However, within just three weeks of his arrival, unforeseen circumstances forced him to return to India.
According to Sridhar, serious disputes arose between him and the organization with which he was associated. The situation reportedly escalated to such an extent that he felt personally threatened. Along with a colleague, he chose to leave the assignment and return to India at the earliest opportunity.
In the years that followed, the prediction regarding overseas settlement appeared to align with the eventual outcome. Although Sridhar did travel abroad for work, he did not establish permanent residence outside India. Several years later, he continued to pursue his professional career in Bengaluru, working in the Information Technology sector at ITPL.
This case was often cited as an example of how immediate circumstances may appear to contradict an initial assessment, while the longer-term outcome may ultimately unfold differently.
In 2002, Mr. Raju, a close friend of Dr. N. Rajgopal, was actively searching for a suitable life partner with the support of his family. Marriage discussions and bride-search activities were occupying much of the family’s attention during that period.
On one particular Sunday, Raju’s two elder sisters planned a visit to Sanjay Nagar to meet a prospective bride and her family. Before leaving, one of the sisters met Dr. Rajgopal and handed him a photograph of the young woman. She requested his opinion regarding the proposed alliance but asked him not to disclose any observations until they had returned from their visit.
After conducting a MindScope analysis, Dr. Rajgopal recorded his impressions on paper, sealed them in an envelope, and left it for the sisters to open upon their return.
Later that day, after meeting the prospective bride and her family, the sisters came back and opened the envelope. The written observations indicated that there appeared to be compatibility between the prospective bride and Mr. Raju and that marriage was approaching for him. However, the notes also suggested that no marriage was indicated for the young woman in the immediate future.
The sisters were surprised by these remarks. During their visit, one of them had developed reservations about the proposal due to differences in language, accent, and certain aspects of the family’s behavior. As a result, the family decided not to pursue the alliance any further.
In the months that followed, events took an interesting turn. Within approximately three months, Mr. Raju’s marriage was arranged with another woman, and the wedding was successfully celebrated. The family later reflected on the earlier MindScope observations in light of the outcome and found the sequence of events noteworthy.
This case remained one of the many instances discussed among Dr. Rajgopal’s friends and associates, particularly because the observations appeared to distinguish between compatibility and the eventual realization of a marriage alliance.
During an official meeting, a successful businessman named Mr. Gowtham met Dr. N. Rajgopal for the first time. While conversing with him, Dr. Rajgopal noticed the gemstone ring he was wearing and remarked that it appeared to reflect significant emotional stress and tension in his personal life. The observation had an immediate impact on Mr. Gowtham, who became emotional and expressed a desire to discuss his situation in greater detail. He subsequently invited Dr. Rajgopal to dinner at Hotel Bangalore International later that evening.
During their discussion, Mr. Gowtham was curious to know how Dr. Rajgopal had inferred difficulties within his family. Dr. Rajgopal explained that, according to his observations and beliefs regarding gemstones, certain stones may exhibit changes in appearance under specific circumstances. He further noted that unusual changes in a gemstone can sometimes be interpreted as indicators of stress, health concerns, or family-related challenges affecting the wearer.
Encouraged by the conversation, Mr. Gowtham shared a deeply troubling family situation. He explained that he was the only son of his father and had three daughters. His wife had passed away many years earlier, and his retired father was living with the family. According to Mr. Gowtham, he later became aware of inappropriate relationships involving his father and two of his granddaughters. Disturbed by these developments, he arranged marriages for the two daughters in the hope of bringing stability to their lives. However, he believed that the influence of these relationships continued and was beginning to affect his youngest daughter as well.
The situation placed Mr. Gowtham in a difficult emotional position. While he was deeply troubled by the allegations, he also struggled with the fact that his father had played a major role in supporting him throughout his life and career. As a result, he sought a solution that would address the family crisis without causing public humiliation or irreparable damage to family relationships.
Following a MindScope analysis and several discussions, Dr. Rajgopal suggested certain remedies and counseling-oriented measures. According to Mr. Gowtham, positive changes gradually began to take place within the family. Within a few months, his youngest daughter was also married. He further reported that his father eventually renounced his earlier behavior, left the family home, and moved to Haridwar, where he chose to live separately.
Mr. Gowtham later regarded these developments as a turning point that helped restore peace and stability within his family. The case remained one of the more complex and emotionally challenging situations discussed with Dr. Rajgopal, involving difficult choices, family loyalty, and the search for a dignified resolution to a deeply sensitive matter.
On one occasion, Dr. N. Rajgopal and his wife attended a family function hosted by relatives. During the visit, they happened to meet Vijaya Lakshmi, a relative of Mr. Munne Gowda, who was known to one of Dr. Rajgopal’s neighbors. Recognizing the guests, Vijaya Lakshmi warmly invited Dr. Rajgopal and his wife to her modest home nearby.
The couple extended simple yet heartfelt hospitality, serving refreshments and spending time in conversation with their visitors. During the discussion, Vijaya Lakshmi and her husband shared details of their financial struggles. Her husband was engaged in a low-paying occupation that required considerable effort but yielded limited financial rewards. Despite working hard, the family found it difficult to improve their economic condition or achieve long-term stability.
Seeking guidance, they requested Dr. Rajgopal’s assistance. Based on his assessment, he suggested certain remedial measures, including the use of a gemstone and a yantra, which they accepted with faith and sincerity.
Over the next few years, the family’s circumstances reportedly changed dramatically. Their financial position improved significantly, enabling them to accumulate substantial wealth. They were able to construct large homes both in their native village and in the city. Friends and acquaintances who had known them during their difficult years were surprised by the remarkable transformation in their fortunes.
Vijaya Lakshmi, who had previously lived a simple lifestyle with very few ornaments, was later seen wearing a variety of gold jewelry, reflecting the family’s newfound prosperity. Those familiar with the couple often spoke about the unexpected turnaround in their lives and regarded it as an extraordinary change of circumstances.
For Dr. Rajgopal and those associated with the family, the case remained a memorable example of how rapidly life’s fortunes can change, though the exact reasons behind such transformations often remain a matter of personal interpretation and belief.
This case was a challenging one to Dr. N Rajgopal. The girl was from a well to do family. The father who brought the case was a top Executive in a Government Company. Priya was a brilliant and beautiful girl studying in pre-university or 10+2 Class. Unfortunately she fell in love with an uneducated school drop-out youth who running a PCO booth in their neighbourhood. All pleas by the parents fell on deaf ears.
Finally the father approached Dr. N Rajgopal. A remedy was given. The affair broke and the girl voluntarily pursued her master’s degree management at Pune. Today, Priya is married with two kids settled in the USA.
Early MindScope Experiences and Career Transformation Cases
One of the earliest experiences associated with MindScope is said to have occurred in Dr. N. Rajgopal’s own life. In 1979, after resigning from a position in a private company and joining a new organization, he suddenly developed a serious medical condition that resulted in repeated episodes of vomiting blood. Despite medical investigations and treatment at CSI Hospital, the exact cause remained unclear. During his recovery period, while undergoing treatment under a Siddha practitioner in Bengaluru, he is believed to have received what he later described as the gift of MindScope.
Shortly thereafter, an important family incident reinforced his confidence in the experience. One of his sisters received a marriage proposal from a man who claimed to be a senior government official associated with a vigilance department. Although the proposal was welcomed by most family members, Dr. Rajgopal developed serious reservations regarding the prospective groom and strongly opposed the alliance. Preparations for the marriage had already begun when, unexpectedly, all communication from the groom ceased.
A few days later, the family received a letter revealing that the man had been imprisoned in Salem on allegations of impersonation, fraud, and cheating while posing as a government official. The marriage proposal was immediately withdrawn, and the family felt relieved that his sister had been spared from entering into a potentially disastrous relationship. Dr. Rajgopal later regarded this incident as one of the earliest confirmations of the insights he believed were obtained through MindScope.
Another case involved Paramesh, an employee in the information technology sector. At the time he first met Dr. Rajgopal, he was dissatisfied with his professional life. Long working hours, limited recognition, and the absence of meaningful career growth had left him discouraged and uncertain about his future. Seeking guidance, he consulted Dr. Rajgopal and subsequently followed the recommendations provided to him.
According to Paramesh, significant changes began to occur in his career soon afterward. He received an attractive employment opportunity that exceeded his expectations and enabled him to advance professionally. Over time, he established a stable career, got married, and built a comfortable life. Prospects for overseas training and international assignments also emerged. The remedies suggested to him reportedly included gemstones, with additional measures planned for the future.
A similar transformation was reported by Lohit, a resident of Sanjay Nagar. Employed in the computer industry, he faced low wages, demanding night shifts, and limited opportunities for advancement. Frustrated by the lack of progress in his career, he approached Dr. Rajgopal for guidance through the MindScope process.
Within a few months, Lohit experienced a series of positive developments. Multiple job offers became available, and he eventually accepted a position with a multinational banking organization that offered substantially better compensation and career prospects. He was later selected for specialized training and project work in the United States, further enhancing his professional profile.
As his career progressed, Lohit began planning for major life milestones, including purchasing a home and getting married. He attributed much of his improved confidence and direction to the guidance he had received. According to his account, the recommendations provided to him included gemstones, metals, selected herbs, yantras, homas, and other traditional remedial practices intended to address obstacles and support personal growth.
These cases are often cited among the experiences associated with MindScope, particularly in relation to personal guidance, career advancement, and overcoming perceived obstacles in life.
Sandhya’s Marriage Case
Sandhya, a young woman from Kerala, had been facing challenges in her matrimonial prospects due to a mild hearing impairment. After considerable efforts by her family, a marriage alliance was arranged and finalized. However, the proposal was unexpectedly called off, leaving both Sandhya and her parents deeply disappointed.
Concerned about her future and anxious about finding a suitable match, her parents sought guidance from Dr. N. Rajgopal in February 2006. Following a MindScope analysis, certain remedial measures and practical recommendations were suggested to Sandhya and her family.
In the months that followed, the situation took a positive turn. A new marriage proposal emerged, and discussions progressed smoothly. Eventually, the alliance was finalized with another prospective groom, bringing relief and happiness to the family.
The wedding was scheduled to take place on 15 May 2006 in Kerala, marking the beginning of a hopeful new chapter in Sandhya’s life. The family regarded the successful outcome as a significant turning point after a period of uncertainty and disappointment.
Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi, whose life turned to the glittering side after Dr. N Rajgopal’s remedy, was already blessed with a female child. After becoming rich, the couple was planning for the second child. Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi approached Dr. N Rajgopal to know what would be the gender of her second child. Normally Dr. N Rajgopal do not entertains such ridiculous queries. However, conceding to her persistence plea, he checked through MindScope and informed her that it would be a female child. Subsequently, she conceived. The couple visited a hospital, scanned and got it aborted, having come to know of the female baby.
After a year she again conceived and later delivered her second child which was a female baby. They invited Dr. N Rajgopal and family for the naming celebrations. Amidst the function, the lady Vijaya Lakshmi approached Dr. N Rajgopal and after initially exchanging some pleasantries asked why her 3rd child was also a female. Dr. N Rajgopal remarked abortion is not counted as birth. More over the 2nd child has no existence now and the 3rd but living then was the 2nd. And still then, the MindScope revelation was correct. It is their ignorance and over confidence, which led to the wrong calculation.
Shankar’s Workplace Challenge
Mr. Ravi, a close friend of Dr. N. Rajgopal, once approached him seeking guidance regarding a difficulty faced by his uncle, Shankar, who was employed in Chandigarh.
According to Ravi, Shankar had been experiencing significant challenges at his workplace due to ongoing conflicts with three colleagues. Their actions were reportedly creating obstacles in his professional environment and affecting both his performance and peace of mind. The situation had become a source of considerable stress, and Shankar was concerned about its impact on his career progression.
After reviewing the matter, Dr. Rajgopal suggested a specific remedial measure and offered guidance aimed at addressing the situation. Over the following months, the circumstances gradually improved. The workplace tensions eased, and the issues that had been causing concern began to diminish.
Subsequently, the three colleagues who had been at the center of the conflict were transferred to different locations, significantly reducing the friction that had existed within the workplace. With the obstacles removed, Shankar was able to focus more effectively on his responsibilities and professional development.
In the years that followed, he continued to advance in his career and steadily rose through the organizational hierarchy. Eventually, he attained a senior executive position, a development that his family viewed as a positive turnaround after a challenging period in his professional life.
.
Vijaya Lakshmi’s Second Child
Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi, whose family had experienced a significant improvement in their financial circumstances following their association with Dr. N. Rajgopal, was already the mother of a daughter. As the family became more settled and prosperous, she and her husband began planning for a second child.
Out of curiosity, Vijaya Lakshmi approached Dr. Rajgopal and asked whether it would be possible to determine the gender of her next child through MindScope. Although he generally avoided such questions, he eventually responded to her repeated requests and conveyed that the indications pointed toward the birth of another daughter.
Some time later, Vijaya Lakshmi conceived. According to the account shared with Dr. Rajgopal, the couple underwent medical examinations during the pregnancy and subsequently chose to terminate it. Later, they believed that the earlier prediction had not come true.
Approximately a year afterward, Vijaya Lakshmi became pregnant again. This pregnancy progressed successfully, and she eventually gave birth to a baby girl. The family later invited Dr. Rajgopal and his family to attend the child’s naming ceremony.
During the celebrations, Vijaya Lakshmi engaged Dr. Rajgopal in conversation and remarked that, according to her understanding, this was her third pregnancy and questioned why the child was again female. Dr. Rajgopal responded by explaining that his earlier observation had referred to the next child who would be born and survive. From his perspective, the previous terminated pregnancy could not be counted in the same way as a living child, and therefore he considered the original MindScope indication to be consistent with the eventual outcome.
The family interpreted the sequence of events in different ways, but the case remained one of the examples frequently discussed in connection with MindScope and its reported observations.
The Student Who Survived
One rainy night, while Dr. N. Rajgopal was engaged in a late-night MindScope analysis, a sudden power outage occurred due to heavy rainfall. As the weather began to calm, he heard unusual activity and commotion coming from a neighboring house.
Upon making inquiries, he learned that the neighbor’s grandson, a student, had reportedly consumed poison after becoming distressed over poor examination results. The situation had caused immense shock within the family. In the confusion that followed, the boy was transferred between hospitals because of the unavailability of critical care facilities and ventilator support at the initial medical center.
The family members were overwhelmed with anxiety and grief, fearing the worst. Concerned about the boy’s condition, Dr. Rajgopal gathered the available details and conducted a MindScope analysis. Based on the impressions he received, he concluded that the situation, though serious, did not indicate a fatal outcome. He conveyed this assessment to the worried relatives in an attempt to provide reassurance during a difficult time.
The following day, Dr. Rajgopal and his wife visited the student in the intensive care unit of a private hospital. Over the subsequent days, the boy’s condition gradually improved under medical care. Eventually, he recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
Several years later, the young man continued to enjoy good health and had successfully moved forward with his life. For Dr. Rajgopal and those who knew the family, the incident remained a memorable example of hope emerging from a moment of crisis and despair.
The Case of Tamil Selvan
A businessman named Tamil Selvan once approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance regarding persistent setbacks in his ventures. According to him, several promising business opportunities had failed to materialize as expected, while competitors appeared to benefit from ideas and prospects that he had initially pursued. Frustrated by repeated disappointments, he sought a remedy that could help improve his circumstances and had even made arrangements for the associated expenses.
After discussing the matter, Dr. Rajgopal requested a few days to study the case in greater detail. During the subsequent MindScope analysis, indications appeared to suggest that factors associated with Mercury were linked to the difficulties being experienced in business. As a result, one of the potential remedies considered was the use of an emerald gemstone, traditionally associated with Mercury in certain systems of belief.
However, as the analysis progressed, a series of unexpected and seemingly contradictory impressions emerged. The selected gemstone appeared suitable in terms of quality and compatibility, and there were no indications that it would cause harm. Yet, when examined in relation to the specific objective of improving Tamil Selvan’s situation, the impressions suggested that it would not produce the intended result. Finding these observations difficult to reconcile, Dr. Rajgopal temporarily suspended the session.
While reflecting further on the case, his attention reportedly shifted away from business matters and toward broader questions concerning Tamil Selvan’s future. During a subsequent analysis, he received impressions that suggested a serious risk to the man’s well-being in the near future. The indications were troubling and appeared to point toward the possibility of a major accident.
When Tamil Selvan returned for consultation, Dr. Rajgopal informed him that he did not believe any immediate remedial measures would be beneficial and advised him to postpone further action for a few months. He also returned the money that had been paid and casually advised him to exercise extra caution, particularly while riding a motorcycle, including the use of a protective helmet.
Some time later, Dr. Rajgopal learned that Tamil Selvan had passed away following a road accident in Bengaluru. The news came as a shock and left a lasting impression on those familiar with the case.
Among the many experiences associated with MindScope, this incident was remembered as one of the more unusual and emotionally difficult cases, particularly because the focus of the consultation had initially been on business concerns rather than personal safety.
A Family’s Rise Through Adversity
In the same period, another family related to Dr. N. Rajgopal sought his guidance regarding a series of personal and financial difficulties. The household consisted of a husband, wife, two sons, and a daughter. Their economic situation was strained. The husband had leased out much of the family’s property and, according to family members, a significant portion of his income from a small catering business was spent on alcohol. As a result, the family was living in modest conditions, occupying only a small room and kitchen on the terrace of their own property.
During the consultation, a MindScope analysis reportedly indicated the possibility of major difficulties affecting the family in the future. Particular concern was expressed regarding the elder son, and the mother was advised to pay close attention to his well-being and to take steps that might help protect him from harmful influences. Certain remedial measures were also suggested.
However, the family did not pursue any further consultations. Over the next two years, significant changes occurred. The father passed away, leaving behind substantial debts. Faced with financial hardship, the mother and her elder son worked together to support the household by preparing and selling food items. Through determination and hard work, they gradually improved their financial position and were eventually able to regain control of properties that had previously been leased out.
As the family’s circumstances improved, they successfully arranged the marriage of their daughter and achieved a level of stability that had once seemed out of reach. The elder son became increasingly entrepreneurial, first earning a livelihood as an auto-rickshaw driver and later acquiring additional vehicles, creating a small business of his own.
Over time, however, new challenges emerged. According to family accounts, the elder son became associated with unhealthy habits and influences that concerned those close to him.
In 2005, the mother returned to meet Dr. Rajgopal with tragic news. Her elder son had died unexpectedly. Seeking answers, she requested that Dr. Rajgopal examine the circumstances surrounding his death. He declined, explaining that he did not investigate matters relating to deceased individuals. Instead, he encouraged her to focus her attention on the welfare of her younger son, expressing concern that he too might face difficulties if exposed to the same environment and circumstances.
The family did not return for further consultation. For those who reflected on the case, it served as a reminder of how families can overcome severe hardship through perseverance, while also highlighting the importance of maintaining guidance, discipline, and support during periods of success and transition.
A Family Marked by Separation and Loss
In 1995, a family friend approached Dr. N. Rajgopal seeking guidance on behalf of a woman who was facing severe difficulties in her personal life. Her marriage had effectively broken down, as her husband was reportedly living with another woman. In addition, she was struggling to manage the behavior of her seven-year-old son, whose actions often caused concern and distress within the household. Feeling isolated and unhappy, she sought assistance in understanding her circumstances and finding a way forward.
The family’s background was complex. The woman lived in a house that legally belonged to her husband. The property was part of a larger family estate that had been divided among several heirs. Her husband’s father, a government employee, had accumulated substantial assets during his lifetime and had children through multiple marriages. Following his death, disagreements over property ownership and inheritance became a recurring source of tension among family members. Conflicts, disputes, and strained relationships were common, creating an unstable environment for many members of the extended family.
After meeting the woman, Dr. Rajgopal requested a few days to study the case. According to the subsequent MindScope analysis, the indications suggested that her husband had already established a separate life with another woman and that the possibility of reconciliation appeared limited. The analysis also highlighted concerns regarding the future of her young son. It suggested that the child might gradually become emotionally detached from his parents and could eventually separate from the family if appropriate care and support were not provided.
The woman found herself in a difficult position. Without meaningful support from her husband, she struggled to address the challenges facing her son. As the years passed, the concerns regarding the child appeared to deepen.
One day, while still quite young, the boy reportedly left home with a small amount of money and disappeared without informing anyone of his whereabouts. Extensive efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful. Despite the passage of many years, no confirmed information regarding his fate or location was ever received.
Meanwhile, the woman remained separated from her husband, who continued his life elsewhere. Over time, the other branch of the family came to occupy and benefit from the property that had once been a central part of her household.
For those familiar with the case, it became a poignant example of how family disputes, broken relationships, and the absence of support can have long-lasting consequences. It also highlighted the emotional burden carried by individuals who find themselves facing such challenges largely on their own.
Altaf’s Family and an Unexpected Turn of Fortune
In 1983, Dr. N. Rajgopal became acquainted with a young man named Altaf through a mutual friend. Altaf hailed from a large family in Mangalore, consisting of several brothers and sisters. At the time, he was pursuing his studies in Bengaluru while staying in a hostel. The family’s financial condition was difficult, particularly after his father, a government employee, was suspended from service. With limited income and many dependents to support, the household struggled to meet its daily expenses.
Altaf’s father was actively involved in the local mosque and was responsible for managing the lending of utensils and furniture used for community functions and special occasions. Despite the family’s hardships, he remained committed to his religious beliefs and was cautious about accepting any advice or remedy that conflicted with his faith.
Altaf, meanwhile, was influenced by a circle of affluent friends and had developed certain expensive habits, including smoking and occasional drinking. His mother, however, was widely regarded as a kind and sincere woman. She had great respect for Dr. Rajgopal and appreciated the support and guidance he offered to people facing personal difficulties. During one of their conversations, she shared her concerns about the family’s uncertain future and the challenges they were experiencing following her husband’s suspension.
Having observed the family’s circumstances, Dr. Rajgopal suggested certain measures that, in his opinion, might help improve their prospects. While Altaf’s father was initially reluctant to consider any form of remedy, his mother remained receptive. A gemstone was provided through her, with instructions that it be kept beneath her husband’s pillow during the night.
Around the same period, a business idea that had previously been suggested to the family resurfaced. Dr. Rajgopal had earlier recommended that Altaf’s father consider starting a vessel-rental business, independent of the services offered through the mosque. Initially the idea had been dismissed, but after some time he reconsidered and decided to give it a try, focusing on items that were not already available through existing community channels.
The venture gradually began generating income. Encouraged by the positive results, Altaf’s mother eventually revealed to her husband the role she believed the gemstone had played. Whether by coincidence or conviction, he became more open to Dr. Rajgopal’s guidance and accepted additional suggestions.
As the business expanded, Altaf’s father began purchasing large quantities of second-hand vessels from hotels and nearby towns. During a renovation and work project in the backyard of the property, an unexpected discovery was reportedly made. According to information later shared by family members, excavation work uncovered a hidden cache of gold. The finding was treated with extreme secrecy, and only a handful of people were aware of it.
Over the following years, the family’s fortunes changed dramatically. Their daughters were married in quick succession, financial difficulties disappeared, and their standard of living improved substantially. To outsiders, their growing prosperity appeared to be the result of the successful vessel-rental business.
As their wealth increased, the family eventually relocated, partly to avoid attracting attention or speculation regarding the source of their newfound prosperity. Many years later, Altaf’s mother happened to meet Dr. Rajgopal at a wedding function. During their conversation, she reportedly confirmed the discovery that had transformed their circumstances and requested that the matter remain confidential.
She also expressed regret that her family had not maintained closer contact with Dr. Rajgopal or adequately acknowledged the support he had provided during their difficult years. Understanding her situation, Dr. Rajgopal accepted her sentiments graciously and wished the family continued happiness and well-being.
Over time, the family’s whereabouts became unknown to him. Nevertheless, the story remained one of the more unusual accounts associated with his experiences, illustrating how unexpected opportunities can sometimes alter the course of a family’s destiny.
Dhyanesh and the Search for Family Truths
Mr. Dhyanesh was a long-time acquaintance of Dr. N. Rajgopal and frequently sought his guidance regarding various personal and family concerns. Among the issues he repeatedly discussed was a persistent feeling that he was being troubled by unseen influences, which he believed were affecting different aspects of his life.
In response, Dr. Rajgopal conducted a MindScope analysis. According to the impressions obtained, the source of these disturbances appeared to be connected to unresolved family matters, particularly those involving Dhyanesh’s late mother. The analysis also suggested that there could be hidden aspects surrounding his parentage and family history. Certain clues were reportedly conveyed, including the possibility that his biological father might have had a connection with music and belonged to a different community background than previously assumed.
These observations deeply affected Dhyanesh. Reflecting upon his childhood, he recalled feeling that he had often been treated differently from his younger siblings by the man he had always regarded as his father. Motivated by curiosity and uncertainty, he began making inquiries within the family. During one such conversation, his father reportedly responded in a manner that neither confirmed nor denied Dhyanesh’s suspicions but encouraged him not to dwell on events from the distant past.
Over the following years, Dhyanesh undertook a personal investigation into his family history. Through conversations with relatives and examination of family accounts, he came across stories that painted a complicated and troubled picture of earlier generations. According to information he gathered, there had been longstanding family conflicts, allegations of inappropriate relationships, disputes, and other incidents that had affected multiple generations of the family.
As Dhyanesh pieced together these accounts, he came to believe that his birth circumstances may have been different from what he had been told during his childhood. He also identified a number of individuals who, in his view, might have been connected to those events. However, much of the information was based on recollections, family narratives, and indirect evidence, leaving several questions unresolved.
While attempting to understand his family background, Dhyanesh continued to face personal challenges. Over the years, he was involved in a number of serious accidents and experienced repeated setbacks in his business activities. He felt that these difficulties were connected in some way to the unresolved issues surrounding his family history. The challenges, according to him, affected not only his own life but also had an impact on his wife and son.
Throughout this period, Dr. Rajgopal maintained that the most important step for Dhyanesh was to focus on reconciliation with his past and to perform the ancestral rites and spiritual observances that were considered appropriate within his tradition. According to Dr. Rajgopal’s interpretation of the MindScope findings, these measures could help bring emotional closure and reduce the influence of longstanding family burdens.
Despite receiving this advice on multiple occasions, Dhyanesh did not fully pursue the recommended course of action. As a result, many of the concerns and questions that had troubled him remained unresolved.
For those familiar with the case, it became an example of how deeply family history, personal identity, and unresolved emotional issues can affect an individual’s outlook on life. Whether viewed from a spiritual, psychological, or personal perspective, the case highlighted the lasting impact that unanswered questions about one’s origins and family relationships can have over the course of many years.
Manikkam’s Business Decision and an Unexpected Outcome
In 1993, a businessman named Manikkam, originally from Dindigul in Tamil Nadu and engaged in the granite trade in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, visited Dr. N. Rajgopal along with his wife and young daughter. Having inherited substantial wealth and property from his grandfather, Manikkam was considering expanding his financial activities and sought guidance regarding his future plans.
One of the key questions he raised was whether he should continue focusing on his successful granite business or establish a new venture in his wife’s name. Since the decision involved both spouses, Dr. Rajgopal held separate discussions with each of them before undertaking a MindScope analysis.
During the conversation, Manikkam’s wife strongly expressed her desire to start an independent business under her own name. She urged Dr. Rajgopal to recommend this course of action to her husband. After gathering the necessary details, the couple was asked to return after two days.
According to the subsequent MindScope analysis, the indications suggested that Manikkam’s existing granite business had strong prospects for future growth and expansion. The impressions further suggested that he should concentrate on strengthening his current enterprise rather than investing in a new venture. Certain additional observations also emerged, some of which appeared difficult to interpret and seemed contradictory at the time.
When the couple returned, Dr. Rajgopal advised Manikkam to continue focusing on his established business and to avoid making major investments in new ventures in the immediate future. He also encouraged both husband and wife to support one another regardless of the business decisions that were ultimately made.
Several years passed without further contact. Then, in 2001, Manikkam unexpectedly called Dr. Rajgopal and later visited him at his residence. On this occasion, he arrived with a different woman, a young boy, and gifts as a gesture of appreciation.
During their meeting, Manikkam shared details of the developments that had taken place since their earlier consultation. He explained that his granite business had prospered significantly over the years, apart from a brief period of disruption during regional events that affected trade and transportation. Financially, he had enjoyed considerable success and stability.
When asked about the woman accompanying him, Manikkam explained that she was now his wife and that the boy was their son. He further revealed that the woman who had accompanied him during the original consultation was his first wife. According to his account, serious marital difficulties had arisen after their visit. Eventually, the marriage ended, and she chose to begin a separate life elsewhere.
After a period of emotional hardship, Manikkam remarried with the support of his family and relatives. His daughter from the first marriage continued to remain an important part of his life, and he expressed appreciation for the care and support she received within the new family structure.
He also shared information regarding the later circumstances of his former wife. According to him, her subsequent marriage ended tragically following the death of her second husband, leaving her in difficult financial conditions.
Reflecting on the events, Manikkam believed that some of the observations made during the original consultation had taken on a different meaning than anyone had initially expected. What appeared confusing at the time seemed, in retrospect, to correspond with developments that unfolded years later.
For Manikkam, the most important outcome was that he had continued to focus on the business he knew best rather than pursuing unfamiliar ventures. He attributed much of his financial success to that decision and visited Dr. Rajgopal to express his gratitude for the guidance he had received many years earlier.
This case remained noteworthy because of the unexpected way in which personal and professional developments unfolded over time, illustrating how events can sometimes take directions that are difficult to foresee in the moment.
Jayaram’s Unfinished Postgraduate Journey
Mr. Jayaram was a frequent visitor to Dr. N. Rajgopal, often seeking guidance on various personal, educational, and family-related matters. On one occasion, he approached Dr. Rajgopal with a question that had been troubling him for several years: whether he would successfully complete his postgraduate studies in agriculture.
Jayaram had secured admission to an M.Sc. (Agriculture) program in 1990 and had even received a government scholarship to support his studies. However, despite the promising beginning, his academic progress became increasingly delayed. What was expected to be a relatively short course of study remained incomplete for several years, causing concern to both him and his family.
Seeking clarity, Jayaram requested a MindScope analysis regarding the outcome of his academic pursuits. According to the impressions obtained during the analysis, the indications suggested that the completion of the postgraduate degree was unlikely.
Although Jayaram remained determined to finish the program and made repeated efforts over the years, circumstances continued to hinder his progress. Despite his persistence and commitment, he was ultimately unable to complete the course requirements.
After several years of struggle, he made the difficult decision to discontinue his postgraduate studies. The outcome was disappointing not only for Jayaram but also for his family members and well-wishers, who had hoped to see him earn the degree for which he had worked so long.
The case is remembered as an example of how determination and effort do not always guarantee the desired result, and how individuals sometimes face circumstances that lead them onto paths different from those they originally envisioned.
Corporate Leadership and the Succession Question
During his years working with a multinational corporation, Dr. N. Rajgopal became known among colleagues and acquaintances for his willingness to guide people facing personal and professional challenges. Individuals from various backgrounds, including senior executives, business leaders, and corporate professionals, often approached him for advice on matters ranging from career growth to personal decision-making.
Among those who consulted him was Mr. Uday Nath Mistry, a senior executive who had steadily risen through the ranks of the organization from a managerial position to become the head of one of its major business units. Shortly after assuming a leadership role, Mr. Mistry sought Dr. Rajgopal’s views regarding his long-term future within the company.
According to Dr. Rajgopal, the indications at the time suggested that if Mr. Mistry remained with the organization for several years, he would eventually attain the position of unit chief. Over time, this prediction appeared to materialize as he rose to lead the business unit while several of his contemporaries departed the organization for various reasons.
Mr. Mistry was widely regarded as a generous and approachable leader who was willing to help others. However, despite frequently seeking guidance from Dr. Rajgopal on a variety of matters, he did not always follow the advice he received. On several occasions, decisions made independently of those recommendations reportedly resulted in difficulties or missed opportunities. Dr. Rajgopal believed that some of these outcomes were influenced by advisers and associates whose interests did not always align with Mr. Mistry’s long-term success.
A particularly significant episode arose when the company’s managing director was preparing to leave India for an international assignment. Organizational restructuring had combined multiple divisions, resulting in a large number of senior executives reporting directly to the outgoing leader. Naturally, speculation began regarding who would be selected as the next managing director.
Several prominent executives were viewed as potential candidates. Among them were the head of marketing, Sony Mathai, who had been recruited internationally and was considered a high-performing executive, and Kamala Samanth, a senior finance leader. Other senior officials were also believed to be interested in the position. As one of the organization’s most experienced executives, Mr. Mistry himself was naturally considered part of the broader leadership landscape.
Interested in understanding how the succession process might unfold, Mr. Mistry sought Dr. Rajgopal’s perspective regarding the leading contenders. Following a MindScope analysis, Dr. Rajgopal reportedly concluded that Sony Mathai was unlikely to become managing director and might even face challenges in retaining his position. Kamala Samanth appeared to have a possibility of advancement, but there were indications that past issues could create obstacles. Regarding Mr. Mistry, the assessment suggested that he would continue in his existing leadership role for some time without receiving the anticipated promotion.
In the years that followed, events unfolded in an unexpected manner. Instead of selecting an internal candidate, the organization appointed an external executive to the position of managing director. Around the same period, Sony Mathai left the company following difficulties associated with a major product initiative. Kamala Samanth also exited the organization amid separate professional issues. Meanwhile, Mr. Mistry continued to serve in his existing leadership capacity without a significant change in rank.
Reflecting on these developments, Dr. Rajgopal maintained that Mr. Mistry possessed the ability and experience to achieve even greater professional success. He believed that certain strategic actions and decisions, if adopted at the appropriate time, might have opened additional opportunities. However, as with many career journeys, outcomes were ultimately shaped by a combination of personal choices, organizational circumstances, and timing.
This case is often remembered as an example of how leadership succession can unfold in unexpected ways and how even highly qualified individuals may find their careers influenced by factors beyond their immediate control.
The Missing Student and His Younger Brother
In 1997, Dr. N. Rajgopal regularly offered homeopathic consultations on Sundays at the dispensary of his senior colleague, Dr. P. R. Bhaskaran, in Bengaluru. The clinic operated from early morning until noon, although Dr. Rajgopal typically arrived later in the morning. As a result, he occasionally encountered patients whose cases had already been discussed with Dr. Bhaskaran.
On one such Sunday, Dr. Rajgopal noticed a middle-aged man engaged in a serious conversation with Dr. Bhaskaran. The man’s worried expression immediately suggested that he was dealing with a difficult personal situation. During the discussion, Dr. Bhaskaran asked whether the man’s son had returned home. The answer was a sorrowful “no.”
Concerned, Dr. Rajgopal inquired about the matter. He was informed that the man’s son, a student studying in the tenth standard, had gone missing. According to the family, the boy had written the name of a female classmate on his hand. Another student had allegedly warned him to stay away from her. Shortly afterward, the boy disappeared and never returned home.
At the family’s request, a photograph of the missing boy was later examined through MindScope. According to the impressions obtained, the indications were unfavorable and suggested that the boy might not be alive. The analysis further implied that locating him could prove extremely difficult. Given the emotional impact such information could have on the family, Dr. Rajgopal and Dr. Bhaskaran exercised caution and chose not to communicate these impressions directly to the grieving parents.
Over the following months, the father continued to visit the dispensary, hoping for news about his son. Each time he was asked whether the boy had returned, his answer remained unchanged. As the search continued without success, the uncertainty weighed heavily on the entire family.
Several months later, another troubling development emerged. The father reported that his younger son had begun exhibiting unusual behavior. Concerned, Dr. Rajgopal suggested bringing a photograph of the child for further assessment. The father returned home to collect one but came back with an unexpected account.
According to him, by the time he reached his house, the younger boy had torn up all of his photographs and burned them. The child reportedly questioned why anyone would want to take his picture to someone who could “read his mind.” The family was surprised by the intensity of his reaction and increasingly worried about his mental and emotional state.
Seeking professional help, the parents decided to take the boy to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) for evaluation. While traveling by bus, however, the boy quietly left the vehicle without informing them and returned home on his own. The parents discovered his absence only after reaching the hospital and hurried back in alarm.
To their relief, they found him safe at home. According to the family, the boy explained that he did not want to go to a place where people might attempt to understand or examine his thoughts. Afterward, he reportedly became more withdrawn and preferred to remain inside his room.
Dr. Rajgopal later reflected on the case as one of the more unusual experiences encountered during his years of consultation. The fate of the missing elder son remained unresolved, while the later circumstances of the younger brother were not fully known. For those involved, the case served as a reminder of the emotional toll that uncertainty, loss, and psychological distress can have on a family.
