In 2004, SadGuru Mahavatar Babaji bestowed a divine directive upon his devoted disciple, Dr. N. Rajgopal, to establish a spiritual center near Mysuru (formerly Mysore), the historic royal city of Karnataka. Under the inspiration and blessings of the Immortal Himalayan Master, the Sri Mahavatar Babaji Sannidhan Seva Trust—widely recognized as Babaji Sannidhan, Bengaluru—has initiated plans to create an international Mahavatar Babaji Ashram in the Mysuru region. Though still in its early conceptual phase, preparatory work is already underway, fully aligned with Babaji’s spiritual guidance.
This visionary project, led by Dr. N. Rajgopal along with members of the Trust, is being developed through the Sri Mahavatar Babaji Sannidhan Seva Trust, based in Bengaluru, India. The proposed site, located approximately 15 kilometers from the Mysuru Ring Road, will feature the Mahavatar Babaji Temple of Peace at its heart—serving as the spiritual nucleus for all future activities within the Ashram.

Mahavatar Babaji has divinely revealed that His presence will be eternally felt within the temple, embodied through a life-sized marble idol. While this sacred form will remain visible to all, only a few—personally chosen by Babaji—will be graced with the vision of His true presence.
The temple will also house a distinct Navagraha Sannidhi, designed to help alleviate the negative influences of planetary afflictions for devotees who visit. At the center of this spiritual sanctuary, Mahavatar Babaji will be seated upon a Peeta (sacred seat), surrounded by the revered 18 Siddhas, symbolizing the union of supreme wisdom and divine energy.
Babaji will serve as the guiding force behind the entire initiative. With regard to funding and resources, He has assured that support will come naturally from various directions. People of pure heart and good intentions will be drawn to this mission, becoming contributors to the divine cause.

Mysuru and Its Importance

Ambavilas Palace, more commonly known as the Mysore Palace, is a prominent historical landmark and royal residence located in Mysuru, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Serving as the official residence of the Wadiyar royal family, it was also the administrative center of the Kingdom of Mysore. Constructed in 1924 across the Cauvery River, the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam serves as a vital water source for the Mysuru region. Located just below the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam, Brindavan Gardens is a beautifully landscaped public garden known for its botanical park, decorative fountains, and boating facilities on the reservoir. The garden was designed and developed under the visionary leadership of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, in conjunction with the dam’s construction.
A pioneering feat of its time, the KRS Dam was among the first in India to feature automated crest gates, an innovation introduced in the 1920s by Sir Visvesvaraya. One of the main attractions of Brindavan Gardens is its musical fountain show, which draws large crowds, especially during evenings. The garden area also accommodates several biological research units, contributing to studies in horticulture and plant sciences.
